Burning Of The Bad Mood is the new range of candles for Oliver Bonas’ SS20 range. The range has been inspired by Mexico due to the Oliver Bonas’ team visit which in influenced the SS20 range. The candle range has been inspired by the Veracruz festival, one of the most famous carnivals that takes place in Mexico. The name of the range represents the start of the festival, where the burning of an effigy takes place, named the ‘burning of the bad mood’.
The range uses Mexican inspired pattern, type and mood ring hues to create a candle range aimed to relax and to positively affect how we feel. The following colours relate to moods found by ‘Mood Rings’ relating to our four chosen positive moods, blue for calm, yellow for loveable, green for passion and pink for cool. The candles reflect the change of the bad mood with having a thermochromic label that reacts with the candles heat.
The range is in collaboration with Fedrigoni, using their Bianco woodstock range stock for the packaging of the collection. The range also comes with a complimentary matchbox for the consumer to start burning o their bad mood from purchase.
