The final book cover for Wonder represents the themes of friendship, family, kindness and isolation that are present throughout the book. The hand illustration symbolises the themes with the hand reaching out to each other which represent that act of kindness and support system of which we get with our friends and family. However, when the front cover is seen on its own, only one hand can be seen, which represents the isolation the main character feels in the book. To accompany the hand design, space illustrations have been used to represent the key iconography for the book and to make the book appeal to children.
